What a Weekend! A Hundred years of Scouting...all covered in one weekend. It was rough!
No, we all had a good time and thank goodness the weather held out on the heat! We all got there Friday night and got camp set.
Saturday morning we were off to our sites to teach and learn with the 157 boys and 11 troops that came to camp.
We had a great turn out and some great times. We were the hosting troop so we did not win any awards but we had fun giving them away
Dewey and Jack manned the 50's station. Racing was HOT! Nascar was full force in Daytona and Boy Scouts were hosting Pinewood and Soap Box Derbies! !
So why not a Pit Crew Challenge? The boys had to change and swap out one tire moving it to the other side of the trailer. In record time. Winning of the day 6 mins 39 seconds. Fruitland park boys took it. They also came back at the end of the day to beat their time. This of course was for fun. Their second time...4 mins 29 seconds!
Logan and his Shadow Dragons did fairly well. 9 mins and 45 seconds.
We wrapped up the night with patrol leader competition and camp fire! Good wind down time to a busy day!
