We took the kids to Trout Lake on Saturday morning for their morning Nature Walk which was a trip to the Lake with a net and such to see what kind of creatures were in the lake. They found some baby cat fish, brim, snails, grass shrimp, water bugs, leeches a red one and black one, dragon fly shells, stick bug, and a nymph for a damsel fly.They had a blast especially Lindsey digging in mud and muck. The biologist really enjoyed her helping dig the stuff out and all her questions.
Nicky, Rachel, Anthony , John, Amy, Ian, Seth, Jackie, myself and the kids went. It was a very nice summer morning and it kept the kids busy for a few hours. Later Jackie and Seth came over and swam for awhile before Amy took them all for VBS.
